Dukachi
As little girls, sisters Anna and Elyzaveta Knyzhenko transformed thin wires into fancy rings and plastic beads into trendy necklaces. Their childhood hobby is now a brand honoring Ukrainian traditions and the revival of forgotten national values.
“Dukachi” are pendants made of gold and silver coins and medals. Worn by the wives of high-ranking officials throughout Ukrainian history, these pendants symbolize pride and devotion. The Dukachi brand celebrates this history by incorporating elements from traditional dukachi as well as pysanky (Ukrainian Easter eggs decorated with folk designs) into striking, gold-plated brass jewelry made for the modern, international woman.
