Turkish designer Elif Dogan spent six years honing her craft through study in Murano for glass bead training, in Florence for jewelry design and crafting in enamel, semi precious and precious stones and in Istanbul with the old masters of the Grand Bazaar. A former marketing executive, she brings a unique point of view to the world of handcrafted jewelry.
An Elif Dogan design is a study in contrasts. The designer often pairs 18 karat gold plated brass or silver with oxidized silver, which leads to a luxe yet rugged mix that is distinctly her own. She looks to her instincts in form and shape, rather than to the past or the future, resulting in modern new designs collected by lovers of handcrafted jewelry.
