In 2017, Creative Director Akudo Iheakanwa transplanted her womenswear brand to Lagos, Nigeria and relaunched as a footwear and accessories collection inspired by local handicrafts and a rich heritage of traditional design techniques. Her very contemporary line is handmade by a network of artisans in reclaimed goatskin leather and a traditional woven cloth called aso oke.
By crafting responsibly made styles with traceable origins and offering sustainable employment to local artisans, the brand is well known as socially responsible and an advocate for slow fashion and women’s empowerment.
